Burna Boy’s concert in SA has been postponed till December

Dancefloor king and self-acclaimed giant of Africa, Burna Boy will not be performing at FNB stadium in South Africa this coming Saturday, 23rd of September, as his concert has been postponed due to low ticket sales patronage from South Africans.

Out of the 90,000 tickets made available, Burna Boy was able to sell 1500 tickets. The Grammy-Award-winning singer was expected to sell out the +90,000-seat FNB Stadium, but the sales are reportedly low, hence the change in date.

According to Sunday World, the Nigerian singer canceled a few days to his show due to sound problem, He just posted on his Instagram story that the postponement of the FNB Stadium concert wasn’t due to low ticket sales.

“They had a problem with the company that offers them sound which is the biggest sound company in Africa. Burna Boy fired them on Monday night and they had to replace them with another company from North West which does not have the required capacity to do the show,” the source said.

Burna Boy hasn’t been on good terms with South Africans following his tweet some years ago where he labeled South Africans as xenophobic. Years later, his statement still haunts his career, but he doesn’t believe any of that “I was in SA last year and I had 100 Thousand of the most Beautiful South Africans Outside for me, So no dead agenda can Agenda. I will see you again real soon South Africa.” – Burna Boy.
